The net: It can be made of synthetic fibres (polypropylene) or natural fibres (cotton). It is white in colour and will offer some resistance to the ball passing through, to slow down its fall and allow you to see clearly if the ball has passed through the net. The design of the net will prevent it from turning around through the hoop and getting tangled, or the ball from getting caught in it or bouncing and going out of the basket.
